Ms. Michelle Faraco, Dean's Administrator

Michelle Faraco was born in New York City in 1988 and raised in Washington D.C, Montreal, Ottawa and Caracas, Venezuela, where winter is a far and strange word in the dictionary. Daughter of a Career Diplomat, she had the opportunity to grow up in different countries, allowing her to enrich her multicultural background and experience different traditions.

After several years of exploring her career options, she moved to Chicago in November of 2010. Michelle felt the city offered several opportunities to enable her to fulfill her professional and educational goals.

Michelle is a Journalism student at Columbia College Chicago. She has an educational background in Graphic Design and Visual Communications, as well as one year of Law studies.

She has worked for a nonprofit organization (BANDESIR) that provided healthcare to those that did not have access to it. She also worked for a student exchange organization (YFU-Venezuela), where she was in charge of preparing young students to cope with cultural shock, communications barriers and adaptation to new environments.

With well-founded moral values and a strong sense of justice and respect for other people, Michelle has a strong personality and is a very outspoken individual. This enhances her to call for dignity and equality for all people.
