Treasurer’s Report
Having just presented a financial report at the recent Annual Meeting, there was no formal report.

Elsa Vaintzettel briefed Chapter members on a request for authorization of expenditure on a $10,000.00 project (SJP06) for von Weise Associates for architectural drawings.

On motion made by Robert Black, seconded Marianne Culver and carried, the $10,000.00 expense for von Weise Associates was approved.

Dean’s Report
Executive Service Corps of Chicago’s (ESCC) final report on Cathedral staffing needs was presented, along with a suggested organizational chart. ESCC recommends the hiring of a full-time business manager to carry out the Cathedral’s daily administrative duties and supervision of support staff. The education, experience and skills required for this position place it in an annual salary range of $50,000 - $55,000.

Additionally, ESCC recommends that the Cathedral administrative support team include two part-time staff members, one dedicated to administrative support and one dedicated to the production of print communication pieces.

The Chapter’s Staffing Task Force will review this material and provide a recommendation on acceptance of all or part of ESCC’s recommendations, which will be considered at the meeting scheduled for March 14th. Each member of Chapter is asked to review the proposal in detail, as there is an urgent need to move forward with filling the positions.

Wardens’ Report
Having just presented data at the recent Annual Meeting, there was no formal report.

Cecilia Mowatt asked to be excused from the March 14, 2006 meeting.

The meeting was adjourned with a prayer offered by Ralph Blackman at 2:51 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,

Richard H. Kelley
Secretary
