Join the Cathedral Youth Ministry on the third Sunday of every month and help us make sandwich lunches for the homeless in our neighborhood. Sandwich Sunday takes the place of our regular Sunday School Lesson that day so that our young people can help in this wonderful hands-on ministry.

Join us at 9:15 am in the Lobby of the Diocesan Center (65 East Huron Street, right behind the Cathedral). At 10:00 am we serve all who come to our door. We need many hands to help us make and bag more than 100 sandwiches with all the fixings. Although this is a Cathedral Youth Ministry activity, all are welcome to help.

Any sandwiches and other supplies left over are then delivered to Saint Leonard’s House, an organization which offers transitional housing and supportive services for persons leaving the Illinois correctional system. St. Leonard’s House is a member agency of Episcopal Charities & Community Services.

Our Youth Ministry has become a bright point in the neighborhood on these Sundays. We invite you to join us for this hands-on Sunday School experience!
