Jacob Perkins

Jacob Perkins serves as the Cathedral Associate for Formation, providing leadership and program support for our Sunday Schools, Youth groups, and Young Adults formation, with a particular focus on intergenerational community. He also serves on the leadership team of Summer in the City. A Postulant for Holy Orders in the Diocese of Chicago, you’ll also see Jacob occasionally preaching, teaching, and developing other pastoral skills under the guidance of our clergy. He founded and facilitates the Fellowship of St. Ambrose (Scripture Reading Group at St. James), and serves as the staff liaison to the Creation Care Ministry and the staff coordinator for our parish retreats. He earned his Master of Divinity from the University of Chicago Divinity School in 2025 and completed Anglican coursework through Bexley Hall Seabury-Western Theological Seminary Federation, following an A.B. degree in Religious Studies at Guilford College. He holds the camp Program Director certification from National Camping School, is a member of Forma (The Network for Christian Formation), and is a member of the Confraternity of St. Benedict at St. Gregory’s Abbey (Three Rivers, MI).
