Concerts

St. James hosts dozens of concerts throughout the year, featuring choral, symphonic, and chamber music. The cathedral comfortably seats 400 people. If you are interested in renting the space, email Robert Black.

Rush Hour Concerts

Since 2000, Rush Hour Concerts has invigorated Chicago's live music scene with performances every Tuesday from June through August. 

  • Free, pre-concert reception with artists at 5:15 p.m. and a 30-minute concert at 5:45 p.m.
  • Internationally acclaimed artists, including musicians from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Chicago
  • Diverse, international repertoire from different eras and for various ensembles
  • Broadcast on 98.7 WFMT, Chicago's classical music station
