Faith, Fire, and Fortune: Historic Walking Tours of the River North Neighborhood
From the 1830s settlement of Chicago, through the Fire of 1871, and the heyday of "McCormickville", tamed by the Burnham Plan of 1909, River North has been the heart of commerce, society, and beautiful surroundings.
Stroll through the neighborhood with Chicago historian Sally Sexton Kalmbach and listen to fascinating stories about the people and events in this neighborhood that has experienced, wealth, disaster and recovery.
