Confirmation

Christians baptized at an early age are expected, when they are ready, to recommit to the promises made on their behalf at baptism. This is known as confirmation. Those baptized in other Christian traditions who chose to join the Episcopal Church also are asked to make a public affirmation of their faith. This is known as reception. The Bishop is at St. James for the Easter Vigil to celebrate these signs of commitment.

Young people and adults are required to participate in a confirmation class led by our priests and staff. If you or your child is interested in being confirmed or received, please email Lisa Hackney-James.
