Welcome Organ Intern Owen Tellinghuisen

We welcome Owen Tellinghuisen to the organ bench beginning this Sunday, May 11. Owen will be serving as organ intern, assisting Walden Moore with service playing May 11-June 8. Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, Owen is an avid church musician, recitalist, and improviser, and has performed in organ concerts across the Midwest. This month, he completed a specialized one-year Performer's Diploma degree in Organ Improvisation with Dr. Jeffrey Smith at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, where he also completed his Bachelor's of Music in Organ with Dr. Janette Fishell the previous year. In 2023, he was the winner of the AGO/Quimby Regional Competition for Young Organists at the Great Lakes Regional Convention of the American Guild of Organists in Evanston, Illinois (St. James own Stephen Buzard was one of the judges), and he was featured as a Rising Star at the 2024 American Guild of Organists National Convention in San Francisco.
LGBTQ+ Affinity Group Meeting May 18 at 12:45 p.m.

The recently formed St. James LGBTQ+ Affinity Group will have their second meeting on Sunday, May 18 at 12:45 p.m. in the Great Hall.
