Wednesday Night Formation Returns: Mental Health First Aid Training

August 30, 2023

Just like CPR/First Aid training, Mental Health First Aid training teaches us how we can help our families, friends, and neighbors experiencing a moment of crisis. The Rev. Canon Steven Balke, a certified Mental Health First Aid trainer, will be teaching:

  • How to recognize the signs of a mental health crisis,
  • When to be present for someone in a moment of need,
  • What resources are available to help,
  • Ways we can offer support for our families, students, church members, co-workers, and more.

The training will be in 4 one-hour sessions on Wednesday evenings, September 13, 20, 27, and October 4:

5:45 Simplified Evensong led by Choristers

6:00 Supper together with Choristers and families

6:30 Training

7:30 Depart

These sessions are free-of-charge and open to everyone. RSVPs are not required but helpful as we prepare our meal count.

Please contact Steven if you would like to learn more.
